Caring for your piece
Jewellery Care
Each Robyn & Gold piece is a part of history, crafted to be cherished for years to come. To keep your jewellery looking its best, I recommend:
Wear with care
- Remove rings when lifting, gardening, exercising or doing household tasks.
- Avoid hard knocks — gemstones and gold, even when durable, can be damaged if struck.
Storage
- Store separately from other pieces to prevent scratching.
- Keep away from extreme heat and direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
Cleaning
- Clean gently with a soft cloth.
- Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners, which may damage antique settings or delicate stones.
Checks
- Settings and stones should be checked periodically by a jeweller, particularly vintage pieces with original mounts.
- Minor surface wear (chips, feathers, abrasions) is often part of the natural character of antique jewellery and does not usually affect daily wear.
With simple care, your piece will continue its story for generations to come.
